Kent Removals
Business moves

Office removals across Kent.

Town-centre offices, the business parks strung along the M20 and M2, studios, surgeries and small retail. An office move is judged on one thing: whether people can work on Monday.

Commercial moves are less about strength than sequence. The carrying is usually the simple part; coordinating a landlord, a managing agent, an IT provider and everybody's desk into one weekend is not.

What we handle

  • Desks, pedestals, chairs, storage and meeting furniture
  • Reusable crates delivered ahead for staff to pack
  • IT hardware moved and protected, with reconnection coordinated rather than assumed
  • Server and comms equipment once your provider has decommissioned it
  • Archive, filing and confidential material
  • Studio, workshop, surgery and treatment-room equipment
  • Dismantle and reassembly of desking and partitioning
  • Clearance of what is not going to the new premises

Kent commercial property, in three shapes

Town-centre offices

Maidstone, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford. Often above retail, frequently in older buildings with a stair rather than a goods lift, and with loading restrictions on the street outside. Early or out-of-hours is usually the answer.

Business parks

Along the M20 and M2, around Kings Hill, Ashford and Ebbsfleet. The easiest commercial moves in the county — proper loading access, room for vehicles, and management used to tenants moving in and out.

Small independents

Shops, studios, surgeries and workshops across the market towns and the coast. Kent runs on these, and they move like households with more cable and more paperwork.

Label by destination, not origin

The single biggest predictor of a smooth first morning. A crate marked with the room it came from is almost useless at the far end. A crate marked with a destination desk or zone number goes straight there.

We supply the labelling system; what we need from you is a floor plan of the new premises with positions numbered, ideally a week ahead.

Relocating the business out of the county? Long-distance removals. Moving home instead? House removals.

Office move questions

Can you move us out of hours?

Usually necessary rather than optional. Managed buildings tend to restrict moves to evenings or weekends, and most businesses would rather not lose a working day. The building's permitted window generally sets the schedule more than our diary does.

What do you need from the building?

Goods lift booking, loading bay access, out-of-hours permission and often evidence of insurance lodged with the managing agent. Start it early — in the larger Kent business parks and town-centre buildings this takes longer than people expect.

Who handles the IT?

We move and protect the hardware. Decommissioning, cabling and reconnection are your IT provider's work, and it goes best when both of us are in the same conversation before the date rather than discovering the gap on the night.

Do you supply crates?

Yes — reusable crates rather than cardboard, delivered ahead so staff pack their own desks. They stack better, load faster and survive being moved repeatedly.

Do you do small businesses?

Much of our commercial work is small — a village surgery, a studio above a shop in Whitstable, a workshop on an industrial estate outside Maidstone. Those move like a household with more cable, and they do not need the full phased apparatus.

Moving premises in Kent?

Tell us the building, roughly how many people, and what the landlord has said about access windows. That is where the plan starts.
